Traveling grate is a machine which makes the iron-containing material in a slow moving line of cloth ball grate plate and use a ring cooler kiln exhaust heat and hot air for drying green balls, preheating, oxidation of consolidation and then directly feed into the rotary kiln. The powder from the traveling grate is collected to the hopper and reused. Traveling grate is thermal equipment working under high temperatures, so the main parts of the equipment are heat-resistant alloy.
According to different equipment working temperature, material combination and overall process, the traveling grate can be divided into metal pellets traveling rate, oxide pellets traveling grate and low temperature reduction traveling grate. According to producing capacity it can be divided into 200,000 tons / year to 5,000,000 tons / year.

NHI started to develop traveling grate relying on the grate national experts by 1996, and the first set of traveling grate is successfully designed and manufactured in 1997 with the capacity of 200,000 tons of oxide pellets grate per year. NHI has been able to design 100000 TPH to 2000000 TPH and manufacture traveling grate with the capacity of 100000 TPH to 120 THP at that time. During these 10 years of development of manufacturing, installation and commissioning practice, NHI has mastered the heat-resistant material technology, scraper board technology, kiln sealing technology, gear technology, traveling grate bed expansion technology, the whole structure technology installation technology, and troubleshooting techniques and put all these techniques into manufacture, installation and maintenance.
